Tunze 6095 Turbelle and 3155 Osmolator not working!

Hi here Roger. It seems I am having a bit of a bad luck lately. Last week my Osmolator seemed to have stopped working and this week I got home to a dead 6095.

The Osmolator first: the pump is working fine given that every time I plug it to the power it starts pumping water to prime itself up. The too high sensor also seems to work given it will sound the alarm. However, it does not seem to sense when the water level drops as it will simply not pump back water in this circumstance. Any ideas?

The Turbelle simply stopped working. I will try to clean it up next weekend and see if something was stuck but any advise would be useful.

The pump is just 9months old and the Osmolator 6 months...

Thanks!

With the osmolator, what light is on? Green? If the light is green and the water is low the most probable is that the sensor is dirty, a soak in vinegar for 2 hours should solve it, they get hazed over with calcium after 6-12 months, sooner when additives are dosed near the sensor. If a yellow or red light is on then likely the pump is defective and should be replaced under warranty.

For the 6095, they generally need cleaning at least every 6 months, 3-6 depending on calcium and KH. It could be locked up.

Thanks for the prompt reply Roger! Looking at the posts in Tunze forum I am amazed how you are able to always respond in such short notice.

I will try your suggestions. The Osmolator lights are green and indeed I am dosing calcium and Alk in the same compartment of the sump.

As for the pump, I had cleaned both this summer, probably some 4 months ago.

Thanks again!

Just to let you know that after giving both the pump and the Osmolator sensor a 24h bath in 50/50 water and vinegar solution both are working fine.

Many thanks again.
