OK i read manual but was not clear on the jumper settings i know its suppose to be for 12 or 24v is one better to run than the other? If set to 24v will i get more flow.
Also whats it set at out of the box?

Higher voltage =more power =more water movement

Depends on the volume of your tank and also depends on what you want to keep. You can also use the 24V jumper and use the software to calibrate the power. Or start low @12V and change the jumpers regarding your needs...

Usually 20V is preinstalled, it is only a setting to adjust the flow, you can use whichever you want.
