Is it a 6000 or a 6100? In this case, if it runs but very slow like less than half power, the likely culprit is that half of the motor is dead or there are some dead windings. On a 6000 which has the 7210.202 transformer, the transformer would get very hot because it has a much higher load than it can handle from the resistance of the dead windings of the motor coil. I have also seen pumps locked by calcium do this, especially the 6000 and just cleaning it well will solve the problem.
