Tunze 6105 burning up.

Hello,

I have a 6105 that seems to be burning up. Upon routine maintenance, I found the magnet looked like something arc'ed to it and when I looked inside the motor block I found a arc spot inside too. The impeller had no calcium deposits and was not frozen. I don't want to risk placing it back on my tank until it is checked out.

It could be, I see a lump inside the motor to the left of the brownish spot. The disk is upside down and this will cause a very high resistance and overheating, the black slotted side needs to face the magnet so please check this in any other pumps. Please send in the pump for testing.

The black slotted side is toward the magnet. It is like this on all the other pumps. The black part you see in the pictures is a shadow. The rubber side is away from the magnet. I will send it in.
