Tunze 6105 magnet not capable?

I recently bought a Tunze 6105 for my 75 gallon rimless tank and the powerhead keeps sliding down the glass. Is this normal for a glass of only 1/2''? I have two Tunze 6095 powerheads that are attaching without any problem. Whenever I put the 6095 magnet on the 6105 however it won't hold the powerhead up either. Maybe the added weight of the 6105 powerhead?

Pardon me if it sounds like a stupid question, but is their water in the tank? It won't hold if the tank is dry, the weight is too much. The 6105 magnets should hold on 1/2" it is also important that the rubber feet are installed on the magnets, this is what grabs the glass so it cannot slide.

Not a stupid question at all, but there is water in the tank. Yes, I have installed the 4 clear circular feet that stick to the magnet (I believe thats what you were referring to).

Are you positive the glass is 1/2" and their is no additional background plate? The upper limit of this magnet is 1/2" so it would slip on 5/8". Did you buy the pump new so we can be sure of what magnet it came with or was it possibly used and came with a weaker/older model of magnet?

I did measure the glass and it came just shy of 1/2'' so if anything it would be a little less. There is no background plate in-between as the powerhead is place on the side of the aquarium. I did buy the pump new a few weeks ago. The pump came with the optional wide flow nozzle as well so I don't believe its an older model.
