Tunze 6105 replacement impeller

My tunze 6105's stop working quite often. After i take the impeller out and clean them, they work again. I believe they stop working because of calcium buildup. I use a toothbrush in the hole where the titanium shaft is but not sure if that does anything. Is there a way to clean in and around the shaft? I soaked the whole unit in vinegar overnight prior to cleaning.

Do you recommend buying new impellers as spares? If so where can i buy them and how much are they?

Do you remove the impeller and soak it and and the motor in vinegar with the impeller out of the pump? Removing it before soaking is critical, the space is too tight otherwise. An impeller should be replaced after about 4-5 years as the performance will drop, they are available on tunze.com for about $30. 6105.701 is for pumps made since Nov 2011 with the non removable shaft, 6105.700 is for older pumps with the removable shaft.

Thx roger i usually remove the impeller but i did not do that this time. Luckily my pumps are only about 2 years old.
