Hey Roger,

I recently redeployed my nano wavebox back into my tank and everything was fine. One day I hit the feed timer, and I thought it kicked back on as usual. But I think since that day it has not run. Basically when I power it off and back on, all three lights flash.

Anyways - now that it is evening, only two lights are on - SOLID, no blinking like it usually does when the wave action is going. The red light (pump on) and the green light (next to the food timer) is on.

I will check again tomorrow AM to see the lights and report back.

Thanks for your stellar help in advance.

Is there any chance that your hands were wet and water got in around the foodtimer button? Is the photocell attached? Does the pump run when the controller is disconnected?

I'm really not sure - but that is quite possible since I did not mount it - I left it on the floor in front of my tank because I wanted to test it to ensure it was running properly.

I unplugged the controller but the pump does not appear to run.

The photocell is attached. Right now, with the display lights on - the 3 lights are flashing. I did notice last night that with the display lights off, the controller just had two lights on solid.

Thanks!

btw i am really sorry for the 3 threads. I was posting and the servers were down and I didn't realize it took the thread. Profuse apologies.

No worries, I am on RC a lot and it fritzes out sometimes and I have made the same errors.

Since the pump does not run with no controller, we can assume the pump is the root of the problem. I would open the pump and be sure the propeller assembly can be removed and is not seized in by calcium. It should be able to lift out easily, and spin easily. (Do not force it if it is stuck, soak it in 50/50 vinegar and warm water for a day and try removing it with a gentle twisting motion, if you pull out the metal shaft the prop assembly spins on, it can ruin the pump.)
