A friend bought a tank and with it was a 7071 mV Controller. It does not have the probe which makes it essentially useless. He can buy a new probe.
The question is, what is this controller for? I am relatively new to reefs and have not used a product like this. He is even newer and does not know what to do with it.
So, what does it do? Is it worth the $175 to buy a new probe?
