Tunze 7095 light not working

I noticed last night that my moonlight on my 7095 multicontroller stopped working is there anything to look at to try and get this working again ?

Likely water entered the photo cell/LED and it is shorted out. How old is the controller?

8-9 months old. Not sure the exact date but I know it hasn't been that long. without this light being on the pumps are pumping at full speed at night right?

Not necessarily, it is possible for the LED to go out and the photocell to be OK. In night mode the pumps go to whatever you have the second or bottom speed knob set to which may or may not be full speed, they just stop pulsing. If you send in the controller I will solder in a new photocell/LED assembly.

It is really hard to solder in a new one myself I have some soldering experience

You could open it and check it out, some of the newest 7095's even have a quick disconnect and require no soldering. It has four pretty small wires so at a minimum you need a fairly professional needle point soldering iron.

alright I am going to pop it apart and check it out tonight I will get back to you tomorrow morning and let you know how I made out thanks for the quick responses

Yes and I changed the LED and shipped back on Tuesday.
