Tunze 7096 Multicontroller issue

Hello,

I have currently a Tunze multicontroller 7096, and I am trying to control my 6095's with it.

Problem is...It won't recognize the controller in the Tunze Programming software, I've tried reading up on this and I tried moving the port for the usb to a different one via computer setting (windows 8).I also tried updating the software through the tunze website.It still doesn't recognize that the controller is plugged in.

I tried calling but the offices were closed.

So, anybody have any idea's on how I can get this Controller Controlling my 6095's?

Were you trying to call Germany? With the time difference they close at 10:30am Eastern time. Our office is open, 512-833-7546. I would ask for Craig, he is the most knowledgeable on the 7096 and Windows set ups. If you get the answering machine, leave a message we will call back, it is just myself and Craig and one phone line so we do often have to return calls.

I had to install the correct driver for the UART.

Look under Device Manager and you will probably have an "Unrecognised Device" - it will be the RS232 UART.

I haven't tried under Windows 8 but I found a driver on the Internet that worked in both Windows XP and Windows 7 - my guess is it will work under Windows 8 as well.

I don't have a copy of the driver here at work so can't tell you which to search for, but you should be able to figure it out if you find the unrecognised device.
