Tunze 9001 in TMC Microhabitat 30

Hi, I have a TMC Microhabitat 30 nano tank and was wondering if the 9001 skimmer would fit into one of the rear compartments. The only big enough compartment would be the one with the return pump, but I wonder if the 9001 would fit along side the return pump tube.

Would really like to get this skimmer so would appreciate if you could confirm if it fits.

We don't have TMC aquariums in the US, the 9001 dimensions are on the Tunze site though. My main concern would be that the return pump could draw in bubbles with that placement.

That is a shame. I would really like to upgrade the skimmer to the 9001 as the stock one is air driven and not very efficient. But I can not buy it unless I am sure it fits otherwise I will just add another device to my list of unused tank related stuff!

The main doubt is that although the chamber has he right dimensions, I am not sure the skimmer would fit due to the rigid return pipe. Given that the skimmer is oval and not rectangular it might just fit but not sure. I will try and take a picture this weekend to make it clear.

Have you tried Tunze UK? They might know. I also generally find google searching the tank model and skimmer model can find a thread on someone who has tried it.
