My be a dumb question but will the 9004 work in a small sump?
I've been doing lots of reading and only found mention of it in tank and outside tank with magnets but no mention of a sump.

It will work, but you will need a very constant water level at the correct depth and the flow through the sump cannot be too high.

Thanks for the info. My sump is small and the water level is pretty constant except for daily evaporation. It is also fairly low, usually about 7.5". I hope these parameters work because the size is perfect for my sump.

It will need at least 8.9" of water and generally works best at about 9.25".
