Tunze 9010 Collection Cup Upgrade

I’m considering an upgrade to my 9010 to improve my water filtration. I understand that the 9015 collection cup will allow me to run my skimmer with the air adjustment wide open. Would that be better than using the foam extraction unit which requires that I dial back the air?

The foam extraction unit is superior, it can wet skim with the screw all the way open, it just is more versatile and with a better performance in my opinion. The height is only about 1" shorter but it is just enough that the skimmate is not so dry and if desired a wetter skimmate can be achieved.
