Hi,
I have had my Tunze 9010 for just over 2 weeks now, and I'm having problems with it. When it first arrived, the pump was laying loose in the bottom of the skimmer. When I turned it on the pump just rattled around in the bottom of the skimmer box. No bubbles, I shut it off. After an hour or so I realized the pump had to be attached to the air line and then to hydrofoamer? It took quiet a while to get it to hook up, but finally it did.
When I turned it on it rattled a bit, then primed and started foaming. Since then I had to turn it off once and upon restarted it rattled again for a while, then finally primed and started foaming.
It seemed to me like the pump didn't fit well into the hydrofoamer, am I missing a part?? From looking at the instruction manual, it appears i have everything, but when I look at the Tunze box it came in, it almost seems like there may be a piece that attaches to the pump that would help attach it to the hyrofoamer?? Am I correct with terms, do I make sense?
Anyway, last night our power went out for a few minutes. When I got up this morning, I could hear the skimmer making a lot of noise again like the pump was rattling around in the bottom of the skimmer box again. I unplugged it. When I plugged it back in, the pump wouldn't do anything. That's all I could do as I was on my way out the door to go to work.
I'm disappointed that everytime the skimmer is restarted, I'm not sure if it will work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
