tunze 9010 protein skimmer - where to mount?

Can you install a Tunze 9010 protein skimmer inside an acrylic tank. My "Clear for Life" acrylic tank is the generic type with 2 openings in the center of the top.

How would you mount such a skimmer. I would imagine the skimmer will be in the center of the tank and look obtrusive. I do not have a sump so it is not an option.

It would have to be in the center of the tank mounted to the edge trim.

If you are brave, can always drill a hole at one corner for the cup to go through, then use magnetic mount for the skimmer box Of course do so at your own risk.
