Tunze 9010 skimmer Questions

I just brought a used tunze 9010 skimmer and i have a few question...

Should water be overflowing out of the stand pipe? (mine is not)

I have the collection cup with the drain, what should the water level on the skimmer set to?

Whats the best water level in the sump for the skimmer? its now sitting at 9 inch water level.

Yes, water must be exiting the pipe for it to work, if water does not exit the pipe the usual culprit is the bottom plate is not on all the way, it is also possible that part 9010.400 is missing or not in properly.

When water is exiting the pipe any level from 4"-10" is fine.

With the 9020.140 foam extractor you need to have the air adjustment screw open 6-7 turns, almost removed.
