Tunze 9010 Skimmer

Hi. I am thinking of buying a 9010 skimmer to put into my sump but I am worried about it being noisy. Does anyone have one placed straight onto the glass bottom of there sump and if so then does it vibrate and make much noise?

Also what is the minumum water level?

It needs to stand in at least 4" of water, with the suction cup feet there should be no vibration noise. I don't think there is a quieter skimmer.
