Tunze 9011 salt creep cleanup?

What is the recommended way to clean out the air inlet system? I think I've got some salt creep reducing the air flow. I can now run the skimmer with the air adjustment screw completely removed, and it's not nearly the same amount of bubbles as when new.

Take a deep bucket, old 7 gallon salt bucket is perfect. Fill it with 1 gallon of vinegar and the rest of the way with RO until the assembled skimmer without cup and without the blue screw is fully submerged. Plug in the skimmer pump and it will pull the vinegar and water through the air system, after 3-4 hours it should be completely clean.
