had a tank 125 gallons up for 6 months,it cracked,had to replace,but used same water,took out some sand,have 15 smaller coral,2 tangs5 small chromis,3 small clowns ablenny,a purpl pseudo,anyway,im not making much skim,is this cause of the new tank?foam rises in cophalfway up cup if u count the part of clear tube you cant see,foam is rising 2 inches where it is visible?thoughts??

I am having the same issue on my new tank. I currently have nothing in it but LR and LS. But it is foaming. Mine doesn't rise any higher than the skimmer box, if I take the cup off it stays the same height.

Roger is this normal?

Genzod66, if it was working before I would assume it is just the result of the move, any move stirs up a lot of sediment that interferes with skimming. How long as the new tank been set up?

dsn112, How long has it been set up, is it a 9015? How far open is the venturi screw?

I have a 320g tank and the stand only allows 23", I was just looking at the 9015, but I don't know much about it, how much clearance do you need to take the cup off to clean? Besides problems after moving, how do you two guys like yours?

You need an additional 5" to comfortably remove the cup for cleaning.
