Tunze 9410 hydrofoamer on h&S a-150 f2001

My aquabee is gettin pretty old, and I was wondering if anyone knows if the hydrofoamer will fit the h&S, the air draw is about 100lph difference, so that shouldnt be a problem. My question is will it physically fit the h&s, sitting on the outside of the body like the aquabee. I've not been able to really figure out by looking and comparing.

Nevermind, its probably going go be more trouble that its worth go retrofit, ill probably just get the whole 9410 skimmer since its not too much more and a lot easier to do it that way.

Sorry is the external skimmer ?I have that one and the tunze 9410 and 9420 pumps they will not work on an external skimmer must be submerged.

You would have to drop the pump in the water and hook up some tubing to connect it.

It is possible but it is difficult and requires a fair amount of modding, you would use large diameter tubing to the intake and it would still have to sit in a sump as it would not be water tight.

a150 is the in sump model. The aquabee attaches by an elbow and sits in the sump.

Is the attachment on the skimmer a male 3/4" pipe thread? If so it will screw on, the 9410 pump has a female 3/4" fitting.

Its a 3/4 slip. Since the 9410 skimmer isn't but about 200 more than the pump i'll probably just go with the whole skimmer anyways.

Does the pump on the 9410 skimmer have to be completely submersed? my sump water level is 7 inches.

The ideal for the 9410 is that 6-7" are submerged and generally the lower end of that is better.

It wouldn't be too difficult to add a slip to thread adapter and we have an adapter from 3/4" thread to 25mm slip and you could then use a short length of 25mm tubing (Eheim).
