Tunze aquawind?

The mini pumps are in stock. It is part 5024.04. As of yet only a few retail stores are stocking them, Premium Aquatics is the only one that ships them mail order. The Aquawind was something I did not order, I was skeptical and remain skeptical though I did place an order 2 weeks ago based on interest at MACNA. It works very well but all it is is a laptop cooling fan that is meant to be USB powered, they sourced a USB power supply and attached a clamp. I do not like the blue LED lights, it has that usual techno geek look like the light up towers and stuff you see at Fry's, I am a fan of buttons and knobs but not lights that do nothing whatsoever. I was hoping to develop a better product with greater cooling capacity but so far I have not been able to make anything better or cheaper and I also haven't been able to find the same fan locally. It drops the tank temp about 3-4 degrees and in theory that would be about the limit, basically you displace the saturated air and encourage more evaporation which causes a loss of heat energy from the water. Making anything that can drop the temp more without a Peltier or compressor is turning out to be very difficult. They run very quiet and I hope to have them soon they run about $70. I will continue to work on something better though, but so far I have not been able to beat 4 degree (F) temp drop using only fans.
