If the 3170 calcium reactor is being discontinued, and if I find one, will parts still be available.

Parts should be a available for a good while (I would assume at least 5 years, most of the parts are common with other items). It will be discontinued as the older Comline housing is being discontinued, but it is still the current model.

Yes, a few ideas are on the drawing board but the new model is likely at least 6-9 months out.
