Tunze Comline calcium reactor - can it run outside of a sump?

I've been offered one of these - model 3170.

I can't work out from the pictures if it can be run outside of a tank/sump. It needs to go in a cupboard under the tank and run as a standalone unit. It seems like most people here have it in a sump.

The write up says it can be run as a stand alone solution and then also says "operational with a minimum water level of 60 mm" so not sure which applies. If I could supply it with water from a pump in the the tank then that would be fine.

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks

Tim

It probably could but I wouldn't trust it to not have a hose pop off or leak. It would be an extensive DIY mod.
