Tunze Comline in sump

I have a Tunze Comline 3130/2.

I have read on this forum that this is designed for the tank, but I have mine in the sump.

How much does this affect performance and is there anything I can do to improve it?

Thanks in advance

It is not a problem to operate it in sump, it is just unlikely that most people have a sump that can be run at a constant 11" water height. The factors which will improve performance are the same as for all skimmers.

1. Keep it clean- this includes the pump, venturi, skimmer cup, air injection system.

2. Keep the water height constant.

3. Avoid excessive turbulence and flow through the sump of over 4 times per hour.
