Tunze cord cut?

I have a couple 6100's w/ the Multi controller, and I was wondering if I can cut the cords leading to the powerheads and attach the cut wires to a wiring harness plug for quick connecting/disconnecting. Reason being, I have the wires from the powerheads running into the wall and onto a closet mounted control board where it's a hassle to disconnect these wires on the Tunze box and feed them in/out of the wall each time I clean the powerheads. Thanks!

I don't recommend this because if there is any arcing or shorting of the connector the pump and possibly the driver can be destroyed. If you do add a connector, be sure that it cannot come detached on its own and the power is always off before you disconnect.

Thanks Roger! So basically, have a solid connector and a drip loop to minimize risks, unplug from AC when plugging or unplugging the harness, and if something does still happen I am very possibly repurchasing a bunch of expensive stuff!

Should I elect to do this, how many wires are in that cord running from the driver to the motor?
