I have an AGA 120 Reef Ready tank that has been running well for over one year now. The tank has dual overflows located a couple inches off each corner on the back of the tank. We use two 1" sea swirls (~1500 gal/hr) in the back corners and have mounted a 6100 in the middle pointing at the front of the tank just off center.
I am debating whether to add another 6100 or 6000 and/or a wavebox. I propose adding the extra stream next to the existing one and angle the stream opposite the existing one - angled a few degrees opposite so they both point towards the front glass a few inches from each other.
A. What would you recommend given these options? Two streams and a wavebox or just one 6100 and a wavebox?
B. If a decide to add the wavebox, does it have to be positioned on the side of the tank pointed towards the other side?
C. Using the original overflows and standpipes what would you expect the noise level to be?
D. The tank is one year old, how long before I need to be worried about the tank seam (silicon) strength decreasing to critical levels?
Thank you very much for your time!
