tunze for a 90

I have a mixed reef that needs better flow than all the powerheads i have in there now. I was waiting to get 2 6055 and multicontroller, but why does every one keep saying 6000 or 6100. 2 6055 plus return pump gets a 90 gallon up to a 30x turn over rate. thanks

maybe because you can't get the 6055's until at least the end of march if not later...

The main reason to get 6000's is that if you are keeping SPS or may upgrade to a bigger tank, the 6000 can be upgraded to a 6100. There is no upgrade possibility for the 6055.

That is the exact reason I ordered a 6000 today. I, like you, have been pondering that same question for a couple of days and finally decided on the 6000.

I think the others are steering you in the right direction as well.

I went ahead and ordred a multicontroller and a 6000 for now. I'll see in a few months if i want to get the 6055 or another 6000.

i put my 6000 on the right side wall in the corner pointed towards the middle of the front glass. I now how no sand left in the front part of my tank along the glass.

Placement is largely trial and error, you can turn down the flow and try corner to corner.
