Tunze Heat

Can anyone tell me approximately how much heat a Tunze gives off. Another way to think about it is approximately how many degrees would a tank of 50 gallons rise in temperature with a single tunze added to it running 24/7 at 100% ?

Which model are you referring to?

I see you have the 6000 stream and it operates at 15 watts max, thats not much heat.

I run four of the larger Tunze's and they are not even warm to the touch so if they are giving off heat it is practically undectible.

The streams have the power core outside the water...so very little of any heat is expelled to the tank.

Isn't it a DC motor anyway? That way it is controllable and only spins in one direction (not like my maxi mods) If so then at least %75 of the heat from the 15watts max is given off in the powersupply.

So I would say it would not add enough heat to compensate for the evaporative cooling from all that flow (if the pump was pointed at the surface)
