Tunze magnet failure

Hi Roger,

I've got a bunch of the .50 magnet mounts for my 6200s. I just discovered one of my pumps fluttering in the breeze, so to speak, and I took it out to find that one of the little black plastic edges has sheared off the magnet holder... so the plastic clip device no longer is held firmly in place.

Is it possible to get this repaired or replaced? I purchased the magnets a few months ago.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

The Magnetic holders are one part so no spare parts are not available, the holder that mounts between the magnet and the pump are available as a spare.
If the magnetic holder is broken this is unusual as I have never seen this without force, I don't think this is repairable unless I am missing something.

Regards
Graeme

Hi Graeme,

Okay... well, the pump was mounted in the tank for several weeks. Yesterday the pump was "flailing in the wind." Stress failure? Certainly there was "force" -- the pump itself applies force when it turns on.

Should I not expect the warranty to cover this?

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

This well may be warranty, can you send a picture or describe the part that has failed as I am not clear which part has failed.

Best Regards
Graeme

As Graeme said, I am unclear as to whether the magnet holder broke or the 6080.23 clip, either way we will take care of it. Keep in mind, both magnet halves are identical you can always put the side that was outside the tank inside.
