Tunze magnet holder help

I purchased the Tunze magnet holder (6200) and when I was taking them apart they closed together. Oh boy!!! How do I get these separated? Is there a reasonable method where i don't damage them?

LOL I had the same problem. I had my dad holding on 1 piece my mother holding the other piece. I use thick chopstuck stick it in between the magnet and pull it apart. You can do it yourself too, just stick something in the middle and slowly pull it apart. Don't put too much pressure on the plastic, as soon as you see the gap b/t the magnet quickly stick something in the middle.

Try twisting them apart, if you twist them they tend to loosen. Be very careful. I can tell you getting your hand caught between them is no picnic.
