Tunze magnet malfunctioning with 3155?

My tunze has been seemingly malfunctioning for some time, and I couldn't figure out why.

The problem was that too much water was being pumped in.

I made sure that the water in the container is lower then the hose that pumps in to my tank, so that isn't the issue.

I found the problem, which is after some so far undetermined amount of time, the sensor shifts on to a diagonal.

I've attached two pictures showing what it should look like, and what it ends up looking like.

Without fail every time I fix it, it reverts back to being on an angle, which lifts the sensor out of the water, which results in too much water being dosed.

I tried putting cardboard between the magnets, however that didn't seem to do anything.

How can I fix this?

Have you tried rotating the outside magnet? My guess would be that the poles aren't lined up and just the grip of the rubber ring is keeping it upright, in time it slips, if we get the poles lined up right, that issue should be resolved.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have the lines on the outside magnet lined up with the lines, or grooves on where the sensor attaches on the inside magnet. From what I can tell, they are lined up.

How can I ensure the poles are lined up? Is it possible they have become unaligned or something?

The magnets cannot really change polarity but keep in mind that the glass and water create a refraction error, thinks aren't exactly the way they look to be. I would simply turn the outside magnet the opposite direction of the way the inside magnet is cocking since it looks to be turning about 45 degrees to the right, I would turn the outside magnet 45 degrees to the left and reinstall.
