Tunze Magnet

Hi Roger,

I currently own at Tunze 6000. I'm interested in purchasing a Tunze Magnet Holder. Please tell me all vendors who carry this product for this version of Tunze. Marine Depot has two on their website but they say: 6080.50 and 6200.50. What does this mean? Is this mean they are only compatable with that model Tunze or is that the actual model number of the different Magnets. In other words are the magnets universal for all Tunze's? Please provide information on authorized vendors. I'm very eager to see and purchase this new creation.

Thanks so much for all your help.

6080.50 is for 1/2" glass. 6200.50 is for 3/4" glass or the 6200 or the heaviest Comline articles like the Calcium automat and Biohydro reactor. The almost complete list of vendors is on the website under dealer addresses. www.tunze.com. Marine Depot, Champion and Premium have them or will have them soon.

How are the tunze's normally mounted on say a eurobraced acrylic tank? is there a vertical or horizontal mounting piece that comes with the package?

Their is an accessory set 3000.26 that makes this possible, otherwise you have to cut a hole in the brace.

Thanks for the info. One more question: One it's mounted on the glass, does the magnet allow you to swivel the Tunze from left to right in order to manuever your flow?

Thanks again!

You can rotate the Tunze about 10 degrees in either direction from center. If your brace was not against the glass, you will have less rotation than before.

Thanks again. The salesperson at Marine Depot told me that once the Tunze is attached to the magnet and positioned on the glass, you can not swivel it from left to right to change the direction of the flow. But what you're saying is, they are mis-informed, this can be done with the magnet just like the original bracket that comes with the unit?

Think of it like this. The Tunze will hit the magnet before it will hit the hanging bracket.
