Tunze Multicontroller Help

We picked up our Tunzes and they are in our tank and running. There is a dramatic increase in flow, but we can't figure out the multicontroller. It appears to be working and the food timer works fine, but even if we turn the adjustment knobs the lights with the percent marks beside them always stay the same. Does anybody have any help for us?

The top and bottom knobs run each channel, the pulse is the number of seconds between the top and bottom knobs. If you have it in night mode and the photocell is in the dark, pulse stops and it stays on the bottom knob. I suspect this is where the problem is.
