tunze nano attached to euro brace

I am thinking about scrapping my closed loops in favor of 2 or 4 tunze 6055's +controller for my bare bottom 30"x24"x22".

Has anyone tried to mount these pumps to the euro brace around the top? How far do they need to be submerged to keep from sucking air?

Hi Rishma,

The 6055 come with magnetic holder so the only restraint is glass thickness up to 12 mm.

My moded 6025's will suck air if they are within 2 inches of the top of the tank, I would think the more powerful 6055's would need to be even lower. The only way it would work most likely is to extend the mount some how unless the eurobrace is almost as low as the waterlevel which it most likely isn't if the tank has an overflow.

thanks. sounds like I will need to mount then on the back or the bottom of tank
