I was just wondering if it is possible to get the skimmer without the magnet attached for use in my DFS Ecocube Tank. I want the magnet so i can attach it to the side of the skimmer that will be facing the glass.

It is not. I know some people do cut the old magnet off. I may have an older used housing that is pre magnet holder, but I need to check.

I am looking to do the same thing. Has anyone cut the magnet off without any ill effects to the skimmer box? Was it hard to do and what did you use to cut it off? Thanks
