Tunze nano stream...got it

AVA and Mr Pink Floyd...mine is in a 29 gallon nano attached to the back corner and I have to have it bounce off the glass or it blows the sand all over the place. When you look at the pump it's not closed off, the whole thing is a cage so there nothing to slow the flow as it get to a good sized propeller, not a impeller like most powerheads have. It really pushes the water and I think if you have it blowing straight at the SPS you have, it might be too much flow if it's constant. They like intermittent flow. I have mine on a timer with my lights, it kicks on in the morning and shuts off at night to imitate the ocean, which gets quieter at night. I got rid of the JBJ pump that came with my nano and put in a Lifetech AP 1500, it's a JEBO I know but those things just run and run. The best thing I added was a Hydor rotating powerhead deflector...the force of the water coming out of the pump makes it rotate 360 degrees, so everything has an ebb and flow to it. They're not very expensive and they come with adaptors so they fit most any nano. I helped a friend up-grade a 12 gallon and it works great. I also stuck a Rio 600 in a mass of rocks pointing towards the bottom back of the tank to keep any crude from accumulating there.

my MJ pushes slightly at the waters surface, and directly across my 30" tank to the SPS side, it hits rocks and glass and goes crazy on that side, but most of the flow is in one direction, it makes a bubble of rotating water around my SPS, but all seem to be doing fime

ill try one of them, and see how it goes

AvaLover, you're going to end up paying $200 for two of them. That's a 30$ deposit to reserve one. Add another $66 and change once you buy them.

im getting one from marinedepot $61 and change, figure it will be perfect flow for my 29, ive been thinking, if its mounted halfway up at my glass pointed at the rocks on the far side, it will create some bangin' random flow

yea, id love to get two, and ptu them on some sort of timer to create random flow, but all my money is going to new lighting(324 bucks for a 24" aqualight pro retro)

so once i get alot more money saved up, buy that, then save up some more(haha)

one of these should be in my tank

dude i had the 6025 in the 29g and it moved the wholething you cant point them at the glass in a small tank i think pointing them lengthways is best

ez are you running bare bottom got pics i agree i could have put two in my 29 pointed in slightly differnet directions
