Tunze nano stream vs. High flow MJ mod

My Mom and Dad have one it dosnt put out near the flow plus they are bigger and I dont like how they mount on the tank.

We put a different prop on a Korallias and it made a major improvement. Although it is very turbid and strong infront of pump but 14" away is weakend tremendously.

My spell checker isn't working.

I have been doing some reading, and more than a few say the magnet seems very weak on some of the thicker glass.

Opinions?

i like the vortech but cost an arm and a leg, but if i work some overtime i'm gonna explain to wife that it is important investment to buy with battery backup now that it is storm season.

anybody have any powerheads for sale i would like to throw out my mj mods sick of listening to impellar hit the stopper making all that noise. Not sure which would be good to get i like only using 2 powerheads in back corners aiming towards front middle section of tank i have a giant seio 2600 on one side but need another powerhead on other side any recommendations for a 72" tank or anyone got anything they want to sell.

Darrick...shave a little off the props on the mjmods...the rpm's are too low and the resistance is causing it to spin backwards. Shave it a little.

nope, there on right is just they have to be place in right spot in tank if there is a little bit of interuption in there flow then they kick backwards. Now last night the prop start spinning on shaft i have to take apart and glue it again. Just getting tired of messin with it

i dont like the koralias. they are not good pumps at all in my opinion.

i like the vortech, but cant afford.

i dont trust MJ's anymore since they just killed a lot of money in my tank. especaially the $100 of acro frags that i just got. plus countless other sps.

i am leaning toward the tunzes. the heat issue also is nicer than the MJ"s

i tore one down and rebuilt with low flow kit. when i bought 2 mj mod high flow kits they also come with small prop for low flow kit so i could try mj 1200 in high or low flow. So i'm gonna try low flow maybe the pump will have enough power to keep it flowing right direction without interruption.
