Tunze Nano thread

Not sure if there is another one of these floating around, but i think its a good idea to have a thread dedicated to these new products, so people can share their expirences, and it will be in one area!

I am very interested in buying one of these for my 29 SPS dominated to replace my MJ 400 Mod, as it is loud, and very touchy.

Through my reading i have foud these tunzes to rattle for a day ro two, then be very quiet, which is important, because my tank is in my room.

What i would like to know is, how widespread is the flow, is it really that silent and does it create random/weird flow.

Any pics of them in or out of the water would be great too!

Anything else you can say about it is great, any input at all. good or bad would be greatly accepted!

I think the 6025 have an 18 inch spread and blows appox 3 feet. I just ordered a few from aquariumspeciality.com to add some supplemental flow, I'll be getting 2 6045 later to really beef up my flow. If you want one order it from aquariumspecality, they are a pleasure to deal with.

that amazing, it would work perfeclty in my 29, which is only 12" wide, so flow will be going across and bouncing off walls all over the place

i had on it a 26 mounted on the end flow in every corner of my tank
now it is on my new 50 gallon mooves tons of water it does make noise maybe some are worse than others noise is equal to my seio620 flow is double the seio

when you say a little noise, is it rattling, like it sounds like its bouncing and vibrating on glass, or like the prop is messed up or uneven?

the nice from my MJ is because the prop is off center, which causes the pump to rattle, which isnt too bad, but if its within a few inches of glass it creates this huge nasty echo and clicking noise, which forced me to put foam between it and glass

so please describe the noise, like how loud, and what it sounds like

ok i turned every other pump off and could only really hear it from 5 inches i think that will lessen as it goes it is a rrrrr rrrrr rrrrr rrrr kind of noise but its way queter than my remora skimmer

Thanks for posting a pic. That is what I really needed to see. I am going to get 2 or 3 of the 6045's for my 90g.

you cant go wrong if you need more flow just add more ill probobly end up with one 6025 and one 6055 and a single controler then i will have serious wave action in my 50

thanks GSM, you just sealed it in for me, if you can only hear it from a few inches, adn its only a rrr rrr sounds i cat live with it, my pump is always chattering and i can hear it abotu 7 feet away(tank is a foot or too off the foot of my bed)

all i can say is thank god for christmas money, except most of that will be spent on a new lighting system, as long as my parents dont make me put it all in the bank

haha, yea i might be asking for one of these for christmas, but once i get lights upgraded(not really needed, just upgrading for better quality, right now i got a POS aquatraders unit) and if i get this pump(also nto not a neccesity, would just make my tank quieter, and look better as it blend in with my background) my tank will be perfect, and all ill have to do is add frags and watch them grow

i have two. one makes a rattling noise, one is dead silent. the one that makes the noise however had the box damaged.

Mine did not start up today on its timer. I reached my hand in and grabbed it and it started. Anybody else have a start up problem?
