Tunze Nano thread

I have two 6025s in my 54 corner tank, as I was too impatient to wait for the 6045s to arrive. The flow is very nice and without areas of excessive turbulence, but I will be buying two of the 6045s when they become available. I need more flow, as evidenced by the increase in algae on the glass which occurs when my flow rates are too low.

The design is great. I love the magnetic mounting system. The temp in my tank dropped two degrees when I replaced the Seios, and the black color blends in nicely with my black background.

mine still has a humm, and every few seconds it does rattle a bit, annoying sometimes when your trying to sleep, but still fairly awake

it only buggs you if you try to zone in on that one noise, youll hear it, and if you pay attention to it it will drive you nuts, the humming is kinda of soothing at night, its like a fan, just a low low low toned hummmmmmmmmm, slightly rattling
The hum I'm hearing is still significant to bug me, especially, as I stated, the tank was dead quiet with the maxijets running. Plus, the rattle (which varies from slight to the thing sounds like it's falling apart) as start up is pretty significant. Like I said, I'll give it a couple more days but I'm leaning towards sending it back. Question is if it's worth it try another or stick with MJs which are perfectly acceptable.

theres nothing you can do about start up noise, that just happens, the humm on mine is still faily loud, but not too bothersome, and the rattling will go away

it took mine about a week to be fairly quiet

these things are so much better than a maxi jet with their jet stream

Never said otherwise, just wish they were as silent...

I think if you open it you will find the shaft is loose. That has been the cause of every noise complaint I have seen so far.

I wonder if you have defective pumps? My Nanos are completely silent. Stopping and restarting them results in no noise whatsoever. Just a thought.

As I said the issue is usually that the shaft has come out, quite often it can just be pushed back into it's socket, if it is loose in its socket, send it to me and we will get you squared away.

Thanks, I'll take a look when I get home.
