I just added a tunze nano wavebox to my 80g acrylic tank and thought i'd share a video of it in action that i took a few days back. heres a link to it. theres some closeups about half way into the video. all and all im really impressed with the water this wavebox moves, anyone thinking that the nano might be too small for a 4ft tank should check this out.

yes its a single nano wavebox unit, i have a tunze 6045 that turns on when the wavebox stops for the night, prior to the wavebox i was running 2x tunze 6045's and the flow was quite high but very linear and not random at all, the wavebox is much much quieter than say a mp40 and the price was right(200$ bucks lightly used) with the old setup i had to be careful where i placed corals so they werent getting blasted.

Wow, that's incredible for what they consider their Nano! I don't know if I've even got that much headroom in my 90 to do that even.

ya its a good wave forsure, my tanks eurobraced and as you could see in the video, the wave slaps off the brace, when i shut my return pump off and the water level drops about 2" more the wave still hits off the eurobracing.. so if you had the height i would assume you could get a nice 3" wave with just the nano box in a 48x18x30, best bang for the buck if your looking into making a wave.

they do put alot of stress on the walls of the tank dont they good luck with it had to send mine back 3 times for repair

I love how the movement on the tank looks. Thank you for the video. Now I am having to decide on getting one of those or a MP40 for my tank.... damn decisions decisions...:hmm3:

Your getting some great motion out of it. I use one on a 4ft peninsula and it works just fine but I'm not getting that much action. It may be due to my rockwork pretty much channels all flow around it as I don't have near the open area as you do. To some extent it’s the only real flow a couple of my Acroporas get on the far end of the tank.

BTW - great looking tank

That's VERY impressive! I've been thinking about getting a nano wavebox for my 4ft tank...I think I just decided to get it.

Great looking tank BTW!
