Tunze Nano Wavebox Locking up

Hi Roger,

I have a brand new nano wavebox and for the last couple of days, it will lock up. It looks like the impeller is stuck. If I take the pump out of the wavebox and then reseat it, it works fine for a day before it locks up again.

Do you have any thoughts on a permanent solution to fix this?

Are you sure sand or debris is not getting into the pump? Is the metal shaft loose or wobbly?

Hi Roger,

The shaft was not loose or wobbly and there was no debris in it. It seems to work ok right now, although it is now clicking everytime it cycles.

It sounds like it is hitting up against the front of the grate.

It shouldn't hit the front grate, they would normally click only from hitting the back of the pump and needing another disk or from the drive unit being defective so the propeller slips. I am taking Thursday and Friday off and today is the last of a couple weeks of long days and working weekends to finish taxes, inventory, year end bookkeeping, new catalogs and a production run of RO units. Could you stop by Monday or later next week?

There is a chance I won't be there, but I will make sure David is there and gets you taken care of. The icemaker went out in my freezer and the repairman is supposed to show up between 9 and 12.

The wavebox locked up against yesterday, so I am bringing it as is. I'll show David how it appears that it is caught against the front of the guard.

Hi Roger,

The wavebox worked great for a couple of day but then the power module looks like it went out. I am not sure if it finally failed because of the overheating with the old wavebox.

I tried plugging it in to a couple of different outlets to make sure it is not the outlet, but there is no power going to the wavebox or the controller now.

Any thoughts?

I think the power supply must have overheated at some point, we need to get you a new power supply.

I am not here on weekends, weekdays 9:30-5:30 but closed 1-2 for lunch. I will actually be here Saturday off and on but it will be hard to schedule anything as I have a few errands to run that I am dependent on other peoples schedules so I don't know when I will be here but I have to do some bookkeeping, if you are in the area you are welcome to stop by, I assume I would be here from 9-10 and 4-7 about.
