Tunze NanoStream 6025 not working

Hi All

I have a bit of an issue with my Tunze NanoStream 6025, it's about a year and a half old now and suddenly it won't always work.

I found it yesterday with the impeller just twitching like it wanted to work but couldn't turn, I cleaned it all correctly and tested it again but still the same thing.

I tested the PSU and I am getting a solid 21v so it's not that but if I disconnect the PSU and plug the nano stream back again again fast the stream starts working, not always but if I keep unplugging it and reconnecting the power to it the unit starts up and continues to run fine.

It's ok for a time but if I am out and we have a power outage it's not going to come back on. Has anyone else has this issue before or know what I can do to fix it?

I am guessing you mean a 6055? In general this would happen if the disk or drive unit was worn out or if calcium had built up between the metal shaft and the hole in the drive unit that it spins on.

Yes you are correct its a 6055, I took a look at it a short time ago and inside the shaft did have a little calcium build up so I got that off but its still not working correctly.

Right now when I plug it in there is a initial twitch of the impeller but then nothing, no movement and when I touch it feels like there is no power going to the drive unit so its not blocked.

Sorry to pest you but any other ideas I can try or it might be?

Not being a pest, I would send it in, I would need to have a look to figure it out. It could be just a broken propeller, if you have another nano stream of any size you could swap them as a test but a 6015, 6025, 6045 drive unit will be weaker and make more noise.

Thank you Roger , I can't see any damage to the propeller, unfortunately this is the nano stream I have so I can't test it. Do you want me to PM you to find out how I can ship it for you to take a look at please?
