I bought two 6045's to supplement my tanks water movement. Both worked fine for awhile (3 months) however both brackets have broken, one keeps reversing it's impeller and the other has broken it's impeller shaft. Has anyone else had these problems. I'm especially perplexed with how the one impeller keeps reversing itself.

It sounds like these pumps sat on a shelf for sometime. These problems were largely solved last July. The shaft broke because originally we used a 316 SS shaft from China, these break because the Chinese companies often use the same machine to manufacture several grades of steel and 316 SS, if contaminated, pits, rusts and breaks. We now use 316 Ti from Germany which is a Titanium/ SS alloy. The backwards start is caused by a worn drive unit we changed the drive unit plastic and spacing to correct this premature wear issue. In October we changed the clamp. If you send me the pumps we will replace them.
