Woot! They are now available.... And me having run out of money at the moment. Darn that! Maybe I'll get one later in the month.

Check them out. Someone buy one and tell us what you think of it. Get them fast as they will undoubtedly sell out very quickly.

Yeah, i appreciate it. I didn't know about it until you spoke up. I won't have them this meeting, but if it works well I'll bring it to the next one.

So the nanostream came in yesterday. And I haven't put it in my tank yet, but I did put it in the sink. And man, I have to say for the size it moves water! Even though they have "comparable flow," I think that the Nano 6025 is much stronger than the Seio 620. Plus, the Seio is a pain to suction to the glass, and this comes with a nice magnet holder. Anyway, just an update!

(this thread is worthless without pics) :) ;) :D

It was 61 or so with 10 for shipping and it came with the magnet. And it rotates 360 degrees which is nice.

That's not BAD at all, I may have to look into getting one. If only my coral buying addiction wasn't so bad, or if paul's frag tank wasn't so filled with nice frags!

These little guy's rock. So far I give them a thumbs up. The diffused flow with the 360* availability is great. There is a construction flaw though the covers don't fit well though. I had to make a mod on one to get the cover to fit. They run 600gph but I am going to change the prop on one of them to see if the flow is higher ie. a tunze mod!!

A tunze mod - oh my!

Man, I am definitely getting one of the 600 or 1000 GPH versions when I get paid at the end of the month.

cap,

I think we can take the 600 to 1000 with a propeller change?
I will let you know. Hope it doesn't bind the motor though. I guess we will find that out also.

Yeah, but I couldn't bring myself to mod my new toy.

Also, you have to realize that the motor wasn't designed for that different propeller. Therefore, you'll likely change the amount of power it uses and the life of the pump will go down.

Just something to be careful about. I would definitely test the power consumption BEFORE and AFTER the mod. That's something I want to do on the MJMOD front as well.
