TUNZE or GIESEMANN

Roger,

I have a TUNZE 8470.000 lamp. It holds 2 150W HQI bulbs. Currently, I have two Giesemann 14,500k bulbs in the lamp and I really enjoy it. I was told that this lamp is actually a Giesemann product made for TUNZE. Is this true?

Enough of that. Is their any way to outfit this lamp easily with 250W HQI's? Just a question because I am always thinking of upgrades and improvements.

Our lights are made by Giesemann. Basically if you can't beat them, join them, I have yet to see anything built better than Giesemann.

I don't think it would be worthwhile to build it out for 250w, the only parts of value would be the shell and lenses. It would be very difficult to fit the larger 250w ballasts inside. Because when we worked on our design with Giesemann we wanted everything internal and of reliable magnetic technology the largest US version is 150w.
