Tunze Osmolator 3155 Problems

My ATO which i have been using for little over a month is giving me issues.

1st I cannot get the black fill line to stay in the pump. Every time recently when the pump kicks on it seems to be, going into Turbo. The pump is very loud compared to how it sounded when i 1st installed it. And it seems to generate so much pressure in the line that it blows the black tube out.

I have tried trimming the line to see if it somehow shrank, but its no help.

Mine acts up like that about once a year. I simply replace it with a new one. They're not too expensive.

For the hose, I cannot imagine a situation where the pressure would cause it to pop out if it is the original type 7mm tubing and it is inserted far enough. Try cutting the end at an angle so you have a point to start and wet it with some spit, it pushes into the fitting on the pump, not over it.

Most noise issues will be one of the following.

1) Pump is on a hard surface, suspend it in the reservoir just above the bottom.
2) Air in the pump, tip it upside down under water to release any trapped air.
3) Something is in the pump, the most common I have seen is a piece of hair or thread that gets in the reservoir and snags around the pump, it will eventually break and decompose and the noise will go away.
