Tunze Osmolator 3155 question

Hey all,
So with my Tunze osmolator should I use a 6 gallon bucket as a reservoir or the 50 gallon drum I have. Out of all the ATO systems I think that the Tunze is the safest out there but I really don't want to come home to water on the floor. Thoughts?

I use a 3.5g bucket at the moment but am going to switch to a 5g soon. If you regularly monitor/maintenance your tank then the added backup of a smaller top-off reservoir is well worth the extra effort IMO. I have my reservoir plumbed with a float valve and manually fill it when it runs low. You could also install a solenoid valve and put it on a timer to fill a few minutes each day or a long fill every couple days etc... I've never had any issues with my Osmolator (knock on wood), it's run like a champ since day 1. But, I still like having a smaller reservoir I can keep an eye on. ;)
