Tunze Osmolator (5017) not working

I see there a number of messages about this, but I can not find a solution that works for me.

The level sensor seems to be workin (but maybe not). It seems to be able to detect when it is "full", and for a while, it might be actually pump more water into the tank when the level drops, but within a day or two, it just stops pumping water in. Somethimes the "too low" light is on. Sometime no light is on.

I have no audible alarm.

I though about cleaning the pump, but I can not see how to get it apart. Any help would be apresiated.

Here is another piece of info.

I can sometimes get the pump to turn on again by pulling the float sensor up until I get the audible alarm and then let it go. Then the "pump On light comes on.

Today, it acted a little different than the past. The pump light came on, but the pump did not. I tapped the pump a few times and an it started pumping. Then it started a loud noise and slowly came to a stop. My guess now is that the pump is messed up. Is there a way for me to take it apart and clean it?

The pump cannot be disassembled, it is a simple direct drive DC motor waterproofed with an oring seal. My guess is the motor is dying and it is part 5000.020 and readily available , how old is the osmolator? After 10 minutes of trying to run the pump, the controller blinks and alarms and shuts down the power to the pump.

I bougt it Nov 2008 so it is between 1 and 1 1/2 years old.

It sounds like thats what it could be, but I do not think I get an audible alarm.

My mistake, the alarm is optional for too low, it has to be switched on with an internal jumper setting. Was the pump used with kalkwasser or any calcium additives?

No

Pure RO/DI water.

Come to think of it, I did once put Seachem Reef builder in the water, but I decided I would rather test and add to the tank. Its not a calcium additive though.

I am having the same issue with my pump. I got it as a gift not to long ago and it works every now and then. Once i unplug it and plug it back in and start the impellor, it works for a few hrs then the red light starts flashing again.
