I have a Tunze Osmolator 3155.000_A

Tunze Osmolator pump only works when I bang it. Is there any way to open it up and clean it or is it toast? It started acting up a month or two ago but when I would unplug it then plug it back in it would start working again. This time nothing, only when i bang it in the side of the ago tank will it start to pump for a few seconds then trickles to a stop.

Any ideas?

They are a sealed unit, they generally last 2-3 years and need to be replaced.

Dang I didn't even get a year out of this one. Guess Ill order a new one today. Thanks for the quick reply.

Was this the original one that came with the Osmolator? They do have a 2 year warranty.

It was, but I was not the original purchaser. I got it brand new in the box but it was an older unit.

Got a new pump and it was working great until yesterday. Now the controller is flashing too low, too high and a audible beeping. It also is not pumping. Manual says controller is water damaged, although I don't see any, I guess I need a new one or is it worth repair?

It just depends how old it is and whether or not their was any water damage, water damage as small as plugging in a wet power supply tip can be a cause and cannot be repaired if it damaged the board. If it is more than a few years old, repair may be more difficult/ costly.

I would send it in, worst case I would discount a new unit. Include the pump and power supply.
