Tunze Osmolator Universal Issue

I have the older mount on my Osmolator and have set the water height of my sump to be between 6-7" of water due to the size of the system. My infra-red mini sensor is set at approximately 6", and the second safety sensor is set at approximately 9".

When I top off my container with RO/DI, the osmolator proceeds to add approximately 2 additional inches of water. Is my sensor placement causing this issue? Is this considered normal operation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is this a new unit? Does the pump actually keep pumping(can you hear it) untill the water stops? Does the float trigger it to stop? Have you cleaned the eye sensor and ir is it near bubbles?

I purchased this unit new approximately 1 year ago. The pump does operate until the water stops. However, the float sensor is not activated when the water level is increased. There are no microbubbles near the sensor. I cleaned both sensors to see if this will remedy the issue and will update this thread with my findings. Thank you for your suggestions!

Does the water reach the float at the 9"mark and not activate an alarm?

I assume the reservoir is not level or higher then the sump to eliminate siphon?

Has this been a problem from new or recent?
